HEALTHY MEALS FOR BABY
It is important for parents to avoid giving their children artificial juice, sports drinks and soda. Instead, children should drink milk and water. it’s important to provide your child with iron-rich foods, which helps with healthy brain development. There are many good sources including oily fish like sardines, mackerels, eggs and green, leafy vegetables, strawberries, home meals (miyan kuka, okro, ewedu, ogbono) and iron-fortified cereals. At this age, each meal should consist of protein chicken, beef preferably ram or goat meat, fish as mentioned earlier as its importance cannot be over-emphasised due to its rich omega, whole grains and plenty of fruits and vegetables. Healthy nutrition will help your child grow and develop into a healthy adolescent.
